This page only applies to Accelerated BSN programs.  For UW School of Nursing’s requirements, visit their website.  Prerequisite coursework varies amongst programs; therefore, it is crucial to be aware of individual schools’ requirements.

Mathematics

Many programs require a statistics course.  This can be taken in your major department.  Note that Math 112 is a prerequisite for Chem 103.

Psychology/Human Development

  • Introductory Psychology: Psych 202
  • Child Development: HDFS 362 or Psych 460 AND/OR
  • Adult Development: HDFS 363 or Psych 464

English

Many programs require 6 credits of college level English.
